in this Christmas, I plan to spend sometime to play around with Fiddler Classic software. Is there anyone here to share some experience?

I used .NET Framework version before it is ported to .NET Core to be cross-platform in order to run on other OSes.

Yes. I use it for years now... It helps to see what actually sent and received when you are browsing a site...

I tried it once long ago, but found it disappointing then, there was no support for things like digest authentication. I prefer to use WireShark, you can find some alternatives here: network-protocol-analysers[^]

I've used it over the years. The Fiddler classic is far batter than the newer Fiddler Everywhere.

Have been using it for years, before it got taken over by Telerik. To be honest, it's gone downhill a bit since then from my point of view - too many bells and whistles. (Though great if you need a particular "bell"!). I use it a lot especially for webservice testing; being able to mock-up a call and tinker with headers etc can be a real time-saver. Also useful to see just what your browser is doing behind the scenes, although dev.tools "network" serves the purpose pretty well for that these days.

I have been using it for many years. I agree that it's gone downhill and it got neglected. I don't like the new version at all and I expect that new Free version will lack previous functions and you would need to pay for an extra... I am using it mostly to check that my API are correct from the client applications. I use postman for web applications APIs..
