The semicolon key[^] :-D This keyboard isn't too old - a few years - but the A, S, Shift, and CTRL keys are worn smooth, you can no longer see the labels. E is fading fast, and you could brush your hair in the reflection from the space bar ... but the semicolon looks pristine!

It's the backspace key for me! :-D Actually, the laptop I recently replaced was a little over 5 years old, and its ZXCV keys no longer worked consistently.

Nobody has ever claimed that. I had one of these some years ago: Das Keyboard[^]

With the second advantage being that nobody else than you can use it. Did you switch back to a keyboard with labeled keys then ?

Are you implying that ALL the keys should have lettering on them? I vaguely remember that... My Dell laptop[^] was 3 years old last month... Stops anybody from borrowing it!

I wore a pit in the C key of my last keyboard. I'm not sure what that says about me. :sigh:

I thought one just needs to put "Senior Developer" next to their name and that made it so. I had no idea the magic really resided with the keyboard. I am truly not worthy.

Since these can't rub off - try to apply a solvent known as water to remove all that dirt. Maybe a protective suit may also be in order.

You need to come up with better variable names?

I would have figured if that was the case, I would have broken my "i" key clean off by now.

I am a senior and I have been a long time developer. I have broken a few keys and keyboards in my time, but I am not in the same league in terms of keyboard wear. Can't type that fast.
