I've been thrown into the deep end to learn Google's People API. It seems that 99% of the documentation is Google's, which isn't as complete as I figured it would be. Are the any other resources that I can look into? I need entry level docs. Thanks

I'm working on an app that uses it and it's giving us trouble with oAuth & scopes, so I'm looking for a resources outside of what Google prodvides.

have you seen this? JavaScript Quickstart | People API | Google Developers[^] You might be hard pressed to find comprehensive documentation outside of the Google sphere. I would be rather surprised though, if their documentation was so lacking that you could not get up and running. Perhaps YouTube has some tutorials? videos like this one? not sure if this one is helpful or not? Google Contacts - 5 Things You Didn't Know You Could Do - YouTube[^]

I would be rather surprised though, if their documentation was so lacking that you could not get up and running. I don't don't work in this area but I try to keep up with infosec news. If your app is based off CEF or Electron then there are some restrictions. Google Developers Blog: Guidance to developers affected by our effort to block less secure browsers and applications[^]

When you say the Google documentation isn't complete I assume you have looked at the developer site as follows:- Reference https://developers.google.com/people/api/rest?hl=en The Top Menu also has links to Guides, Samples and Support (seems reasonable comprehensive) I was logged in with my Google developer account I don't know if that's a requirement for access, but if you can't access just register and create a developer account.

My experience from trying to get an app into the store a few years ago has convinced me that the same so terrible the incompetence has to be deliberate group of :elephant:ing :sunshine:s guilty of what passes for customer service from google are also responsible for making sure that not only are all of their developer docs badly written on upload, but that less than 20% of the out of date documents are updated each time the development team gets bored and deploys breaking changes for the lulz.
