I am on the back porch working remotely (running win10 laptop AMD R7 - 16GB RAM etc.) Suddenly my mouse stopped working. Cursor disappeared. I figured it was the battery. Changed battery and mouse still not working. Unplugged & tried the built-in mouse-pad. Nothing. The mouse didn't stop working...the machine is completely frozen. I hold power button & when it comes back I check event log and see the following: https://i.stack.imgur.com/Y75Gs.png[^] GetCaCaps??? Hmm... I search (duckduckgo) and find this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/idea/607697/amd-ryzen-tpm-scep-certificate.html[^] I try to load the article and get an error from searching for an error: https://i.stack.imgur.com/ZKjMS.png[^] Microsoft's site is down for maintenance???!!! Holy crap. It's errors all the way down! :|

Outtasight, man[^] These always come in handy when you're suddenly trying to hold things together. Especially in a crowd. You'll HAVE to install SQL Server Management Studio 2014 Express to keep track of which color organizer you used on which bend of discordia (sp?) but eventually ... yattayattayatta.

Yes I agree & you’re right 100%. It is odd that Microsoft attempts to contact a server on behalf of your computer (in the background, while you’re using the computer) then can’t handle the exception when their site doesn’t respond. It is quite odd that a “professional operating system” which runs on multi core & is multithreaded would lock up the entire system because it couldn’t retrieve a payload (certificate). Just reporting the error & trying again later wouldve been the Linux (non intrusive) way to handle it.

What? I don't understand what you mean. Please provide more details on your win10 setup, if possible. I'm guessing you've seen this problem too & have been able to fix it? Thanks

You see, I was prepared for this kind of recidivism. While patiently waiting for a response to my last message, I landed here: Can't begin to tell you. You shouldn't ask.[^] :-D

That was exactly the answer. I looked more closely at the keyboard and saw the bug[^]. I documented in dev notebook in case it happens to others. Thanks for your help.

Well I'll be. I had forgotten where the term "bug" came from.
