I used to host my freeware at freewarefiles.com. It's been long that I didn't visit freewarefiles until today, which I found that the website is no longer available. Out of curiosity, I searched google and found that the founder (the CEO) of freewarefiles.com, Ronald had passed away on November 6, 2021. Thank you, Ronald for your service and contribution. I have to think, the *good* hosts for such files are few and far in-between nowadays. Seems like unless you're downloading directly from the author, download sites *all* try to get you to download "a little extra" that you don't need, and didn't ask for. I've pretty much lost trust in downloading such files. And no, I don't see so-called "stores" as a great alternative - they've *all* hosted malware. All of them.
