Covid after vaccination is like flu squared ... :-) Right now I am experiencing this, completely crashed, and yet ... I found my way to the Lounge :-)

Not for me - the second bout was a lot easier than the first. Mind you, there was three years between them so it's likely it was a different variant that is milder than the "original recipe".

My post-vaccination symptoms were also each time rather normal, so it is also a "false". Since my latest vaccination (6 months ago, mRNA), everything was peaceful and OK ... until last Saturday :-) when I got ambushed ... :-). Crappy thing is much heavier than flue, despite vaccination (at least what I am experiencing). Still 2-3 days to go and I will be fine I guess ...

False, at least for me. Had COVID after vaccination, a slight runny nose for a couple of days. Just got over a cold (COVID negative), that was much worse for much longer.

Dunno, I got my antibodies the old-fashioned way. It was rough, but I'm fat and out of shape. Outside scares me. Donuts don't.

Good to know ... my case is more dramatic, with some extra suffering Perhaps virus mismatch explains this, so in my case it's a "true" :-)

Which means that you did not notice perhaps next infections, right ? In this case it is indeed a "false". Remarkable, it seems that my case is an exception, so far.

I had 4 shots, last one about 6 months ago, and it hit me 3 weeks ago like a ton of bricks. I was still functioning (and coding!) but it was a fairly horrible 3 days, followed by an annoying week, followed by another week of sniffles and cough. Worse than any flu I've had, most definitely.

                            cheers Chris Maunder

Yes, this looks similar indeed, perhaps vaccine mismatch, fast mutations of the virus ... I am on day 5 now, after being caught off-guard on Saturday, it looks like a sleep deprivation contest...:-)

Given the highly sensitive nature of this discussion I'm not sure if that implies condemnation or not. Sorry, if that's not what you meant. I've spent too much time on FB, and I'm not a better person for it. :-O But, I've only gotten sick once, not too long ago. Believe it was the Omicron variant. I haven't been sick since and stopped washing my hands and caring about a mask ever since then because antibodies baby! Or I suppose, more accurately speaking, I've never felt bad enough to warrant taking another test to see if I was infected again.

Exactly the same for me. My brother didn't want to get the shot... and paid the ultimative price. :sigh:

Sorry for your loss. I had a friend that passed Christmas week of 2021. His last Facebook post said this "Covid is no joke". His girlfriend chronicaled the next few days until he passed. I'm assuming, so take it for what it's worth, based on his US politics he was unvacinated. He was a good guy.
