I chopped my hair off with kitchen shears yesterday so I could solder. I looked for a hat, a hairband, or a bandanna, and found scissors first. I was going to have my hubby shave my head when he got home, but now he insists what I did to my hair is adorable, and I'm trying to figure out if he means it, or if he's just lazy and doesn't want to clean up what I did. :~

My wife often cuts her own hair because the professionals never do what she wants.

A shaven head can look cute too, but they are a lot of work. Think about 5 o'clock shadow, but all over your head - and how much shaving that is going to require to keep it looking neat. I speak from experience: I had my head shaved for charity (the second Red Nose Day[^]) and I gave up keeping it that short after a couple of days. Took years to get back to pony length ... and it was a PITA at every stage in between. :sigh:

I had hair half way down my back for many years and I went to my grand daughters one day and told her to cut it off. How much papa? All of it! She refused to do it, I had to go to a barber. When I went in and told him to cut it all off, he smiled real big.

There were no DVDs in the 1960s. Now get off my lawn! Harumph! :) (I do have a CD version of the soundtrack, but it was produced in the '90s)

Wow! An earworm from 1969. I still remember way too many of the lyrics. I was part of a University Conference group who somehow managed to get tickets to the final dress rehearsal of the Sydney production. And of course, I have the (London?) cast recording on vinyl.

Reminds of "that Saturday" when I was 15. Ever since I was 12, I had been letting the hair go long. That Friday night, my dad and I are watching the news and he turns to me and says "how about a hair cut tomorrow?" I was getting tired of it, but sure. That barber smiled large as well. When I walked in my first class on Monday, there was a huge gasp from the class :)
