Me too. $50 a month? They think highly of themselves.

Well worth the price because it's a fairly reliable contrary indicator, much like Cramer.

Seems pretty alarmist. Most and perhaps all of the stuff about relations with China is true of absolutely every company that engages in the market in China. Only difference is that China would face quite a more backlash in China itself if it attempted to cut off everything with Apple versus the vast majority of smaller companies that it can crush. Looking at the author I didn't really find anything that suggests he is any better at predicting the future better than anybody else.

I tend to agree.

So, <20% Chinese sales revenue, >80% not-Chinese sales revenue. Oh yeah, definitely a Chinese company.

Apple's close relationship with China and its ruling Communist Party has allowed the tech giant to operate with relative ease in the country, despite growing concerns over human rights abuses and the crackdown on pro-democracy protests. Apple's CEO Tim Cook has embedded the company ever deeper in China over the past 20 years, and almost a fifth of its revenue comes from sales in China, with operating profits in greater China of $31.2bn in 2022. Critics argue that Apple's relationship with China undermines the company's values and reputation, with some accusing it of supporting CCP objectives. Despite this, Cook continues to praise the "symbiotic" relationship. According to the article, almost a fifth of Apple's revenue comes from sales in China, and operating profits in greater China (including Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and the mainland) topped $31.2 billion in 2022. However, the article also suggests that given the near impossibility of getting large sums out of China, these profits may not even be money good. It's important to note that while China is a significant market for Apple, the company still generates a substantial portion of its revenue from other regions around the world. ahem thanks chatgpt///

Don't forget far greater than 20% of their products are made in Chinese factories, that have nets designed into the buildings to keep their workers from committing suicide. ChatGPT: What percentage of Apple products are produced in China? Apple products are mostly manufactured in China. The exact percentage varies depending on the product, but a significant portion of Apple products are produced in China. For example, in 2020, it was reported that around 90% of all iPhones were manufactured in China. Additionally, a majority of other Apple products such as iPads, Macs, and AirPods are also produced in China. It's worth noting that although the manufacturing is done in China, many of the components used in Apple products are sourced from various countries around the world.

Which of course has nothing to do with the impact if China were to cut all ties to Apple.

Yes with perhaps 200,000 to 300,000 employees. So if China turns it off tomorrow all of those angry workers are going to be hitting the street in one city.
