    Hello,
I recently read the blog post regarding the software developer/engineer salary comparison. I was trying to get a sense of my own market value, but the figures left me feeling quite confused.
For example, according to the post, the expected annual salary for a software engineer in India is 8-10 lakhs. However, when I looked at the India-specific information in the 'Software Engineer Salary by Country & US State' chart, it indicates the expected annual salary for a software engineer in India is 6-10 lakhs.
The code to the page I'm [referencing](https://www.interviewbit.com/blog/software-engineer-developer-salary/).
Can someone please clarify why there is a discrepancy between these figures?
    Thank you in advance.
