and Tweet is sooooo much better. not. Both terms are silly and foolish. The whole things is silly and foolish. To think, that after thousands of years of existence and evolution, humankind has come to Tweets and X's. Shoot me now. :sigh:

I thought "tweet(ing)" was juvenile from day one, and it has never crossed my lips.

I've been with CP for over 20 year snow and it's a great place and about as social as I get. No Twitter, no Faceslap (or whatever it's called now), no Instagram, no TikTok, no SnapChat (don't even know what the hell it is).

People mentioning how long they've been here made me lookup my profile. I thought it was about 10, but it's actually approaching 17 years. Doesn't time fly...

If I hear someone use "X" as an object, verb or subject, I will tell them to "X" themselves.

 I tried it for a couple of years, deleted it 3 years ago when I realized it was just adding anxiety to my life.

I kinda liked "tweet" because it made light of the whole social media scene. I say tweet without shame.

At least birds 'tweet' to interact with the world, so it has a parallel. Nothing in the world I know of 'X's, except as a metaphor for closing or death (or a stupid shortcut for Xmas  ). I take that back - maybe 'X' is a good renaming after all!

The "X" is "Xmas" is the Greek letter chi. "Christ" in Greek is "Χριστός."
