Not quite as extreme, but here's the sound card I bought years ago at Fry's for ~$30: [XS71UV2 Diamond Xtreme Sound](https://www.diamondmm.com/product/xs71uv2-diamond-xtreme-sound-external-usb-sound-card/) :omg: :omg: :omg: (there aren't any Win10 or higher drivers for it, although it still works for basic in/out - and they are asking that?!!!)

I'm wondering if it's a mistake in pricing or does the person actually expect to get that? They're mighty proud of it!

They want $70 to ship it to me! There is a good chance it's tax fraud / money laundering: you can find things like HDMI cables listed on ebay at $10K or so each - company directors buy them from proxy companies they own to move the money out of the company they work for to the company they own without the need for it to appear in the balance sheet as profit and thus taxable.

I think that even the most stupid accountant (or tax auditor) would query that sort of expense for an HDMI cable. They might be able to get away with it once, but for any serious sum (i.e. buying 100 cables), I'm sure they'd get caught.

HiFi freaks will laugh at you if your speaker cables are thinner than your pinky and/or cost less that 100 Euro per meter. I was shocked when I picked up a catalog when looking for a new amplifier, seeing a cable with a price tag of about 2500 Euro. The second shock came when I realized that it wasn't a signal cable at all, but a power cable between the wall outlet and your amp. These are components for the guys who stay awake through the night to listen to their stereo, "The electric power is cleanest between 02:00 and 06:00". I've met a few guys claiming this in dead earnest. They listen to their stereo. Not to the music.

Being poor, I asked the seller if I could buy a page at a time. He refused so I gues I won't buy any.

I liked this from the description

                          Quote:

but generally have the exact same content as the US edition, just at a more affordable price.

Good Grief! What does the US edition cost?

I’ve given up trying to be calm. However, I am open to feeling slightly less agitated. I’m begging you for the benefit of everyone, don’t be STUPID.
