About 40 years ago I had a record (vinyl that time). I gave it away to a friend, but since about 30 years I'm looking for that. The interpret was called approximatly 'bybatilax' or 'bibatylax' or ..., I can be easy wrong on spelling that. One song on that record -from which I was fascinated- was about thunderstorm with a great guitar part. Any memories on something like that? Thank you very much in advance [Edit] Neither google nor ChatGPT was successful ;)

Not a lot to go on ... No bands with either of those names ... How about any of these? songs about thunderstorms 1980s - Google Search[^] The only song that I remember related to "rain" with a big gitar solo, was this: Guns N' Roses - November Rain - YouTube[^]

Guessing that word involves 'battle axe', I tried a search for 'battle axe lp', eventually found this on youtube AVALANCHE-Battle Axe Vinyl Remastered - YouTube[^] which has the words 'when the thunder roars' as a track name (not on that clip), so then searched for that phrase and 'avalanche' and found this: Avalanche - When The Thunder Roars (HQ) - YouTube[^] Is that, perchance, what you were after? Update: the LP may be 'pray for the sinner', but rather oddly, that 'thunder' track does not appear in this listing: https://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/avalanche/pray-for-the-sinner/[^] but note track B4 is 'Battle Axe' - and a comment by witchtrap says "P.d: on my lp the song BATTLE AXE is named WHEN THE THUNDER ROARS. Strange"

Record you humming it. Maybe a CPian will pick up on it by the tune.
