Kant wrote: What made you to switch a 150 projects of VS6 to .NET? Customer demand or ??? Although the customers are loving the new versions, believe it or not, the reason was programmer productivity. It took me a year to port everything. Sure, we made a lot of features meanwhile. This was one of the reasons I wrote GBVB. And I've always worked like this. After all, you either make the switch, piece by piece, or throw everything in the garbage can: think about a 16-bit software today. Why not wait a bit longer? Because your software grow. The more you wait, the more code you'll need to port. Kant wrote: Is it a international product or just confined to Brazil? The Crivo kernel is independent of the sources. It could be easily exported to other countries by only writing new drivers to information sources and translating the text on the interface (almost all of it are some HTML pages). But right now, the company is still small, we are selling very well on Brazil, and probably will stay here for a year or two before venturing on other countries. My VS.NET is gone mad!!! Mad I say!!! I can't open a HTML page in HTML view. I can open XML, CSS, Javascript files fine... any other type of file that VS.NET 2k3 was designed to open but if I try to open a HTML file in HTML view it crashes... damn weird... I can view files in Design view but if I change to HTML view it crashes... Damn annoying. I've completely removed VS.NET 2k3 and reinstalled but no difference so I presume it's something else on the system. Any ideas? Regards, Brian Dela :-)

You are very close to me: Now I have in front of me a 450Mhz P3, 100Mhz FSB, SDR-100, 10Gb + 4GB, 320Mb RAM, Sis620. It works with XP pro.

For the most part no. I just copy the hard disk (PQMagic) and install any new drivers. [EDIT] I did reinstall when I moved to XP two pcs ago... [/EDIT] John

OOOpss!! I have changed the pc for something similar to that one, (p3 2.4 Ghz 512 mb ram, etc...) And to back up files/projects/development stuff on the network, copy them back to the new pc, install the w2kpro, install all my dev utilities and program, (some of them I have to download it again, some of them I can't remember where I got it), connect the printers/resources... Of course!!! that is really a pain in the ass!!! I can¡t imagine myself doing that every 6 months, before doing that way I will look for a joob in a pub or so... ;P;P Just three words: void main(void)
