Hey... plagiarist... that was mine. :laugh: :laugh: My brothers were really music fans asnd bought a lot of music in the 80s and 90s... I haven't hear everything they had yet. And from time to time I buy something new, a friend lends me something / makes me a present... more than enough. When I want to hear music, I don't want to start looking for a good spot for my phone. I just want to choose, hit play and enjoy it.
M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

My top five artists are: Tales of Series Sound Team Motoi Sakuraba Blut Aus Nord Bandai Namco Game Music Distant Too bad number 1 and 4 kind of mess up my list. Motoi Sakuraba is also for Tales of soundtracks. I've listened to Tales of soundtracks, but those are a lot of songs with a relatively short play time. All in all I've listened to way more black metal (my top genre). My top five songs are by: Thy Catafalque Obituary Vexed Signs of the Swarm Distant All in all I've listened to 99,682 minutes of music, or 69 (nice) days of non-stop music. That's only Spotify though, I still listen to MP3 in WinAmp and on my phone too :D

Because I'm not trying to find emerging trends and identify patterns, and thus make recommendations for other things I might spend money on[*]. Why are people up in arms about Google, Facebook, Microsoft, etc collecting your data but services such as these get a free pass? I don't see the difference. And to answer your question - I'm am the guy who warns others, at those parties you mention, about using those services. And my stance is, use them if you want. Just understand you own nothing, and when they go away, you'll have nothing to show for whatever money you spent with them. [Edit] Then those people roll their eyes and walk away. Then later they come back to me asking to explain why things like [this](https://www.bing.com/search?q=namie+amuro+removed+from+spotify) happen.

New CDs added to the collection this year: (in no particular order) 0: Neal Morse Band - Innocence and Danger 1: Transantlantic - The Absolute Universe 2: Dream Theater - The Astonishing 3: Steven Wilson - The Harmony Codex 4: Porcupine Tree - Closure/Continuation I just had a conversation with my brother over Thanksgiving where he claimed that nobody is making good music anymore. :confused: My response was that you won't find 'good music' on mainstream channels. It's there, you just have to know where to look.
