The problem is likely that you are displaying the screenshot at a different size from that at which it was taken. The solution is to adjust the size of the area that you are snipping, so that you have enough room on the slides to present the image at full size. Then it will look clear.
The difficult we do right away... ...the impossible takes slightly longer.

Very true. Additionally, if it is being saved as a low-quality JPG, many gradients will look crappy compared to a true bitmap of the screen shot.
