Anyone here in the UK impacted by the storm ? I'm in South East England and so far have escaped serious problems.

In the South West Bristol area, Railway up the spout but that was planned work so working from home tomorrow(!). Nothing, the garden gnome I use as a weather undicator (falls over in high wind) was stood up this morning meaning not too bad.

Watched it, just fine. Very cute. Interesting strategy, just keep getting up. Ah, kids are made of rubber.

There's a lot of property damage here in the North. Roofers are going to be very busy for a while.

No, South East here too (6 o'clock on the M25) so minimal - a few branches from trees, nothing really major (yet).

Caterham for me. We've just had a absolute shedload of tree felling going on around us because of Ash dieback, and that has probably helped in some ways (fewer diseased trees to snap) but made things worse in others (loss of windbreak). Mainly just seeing small branches in the road and wheelie bins everywhere. Couple of years ago I had a narrow escape while walking the dog the day after a storm and a tall, narrow tree fell across the road about 2-3 metres in front of us. Just missed us.

That was lucky. After a previous storm a friend of mine was behind a car that got hit by a big oak ; luckily they were all ok

well I know but details :) I'm in the SE of USA, where January to March we get our tornados. All I know about the UK is it rains constantly. Joke.
