But haven't we seen enough of this already? "Copilot can't stop emitting violent, sexual images, says Microsoft whistleblower" Copilot image generation a problem, says Microsoft engineer • The Register[^]

Once they stop calling it "artificial intelligence" and start calling it what it is: "machine learning" they cease being surprised that it's merely a tool that amplifies data it's trained on.

Looks like AI is learning more from the 'dark web', than from safe sites.

Machine learning is only one aspect of Artificial Intelligence. Bad data in, bad data out.

I remember when I was doing A-Level Computer Studies (or whatever it was called) there was alot of attention to systems that 'learnt' behavoir and could predict outcomes called 'Expert Systems' talking to an AI researcher it's just fancy matrix manipulation

Is that the simulation one? That was good. The flat earthers win in that movie.

Yes, but with the better hardware, they keep increasing the number of dimensions of the matrices.

but it's the next big investment to make you wealthy! The aI engines are doing this, but don't worry, corporations are using this tech to develop gene therapy for healthcare. What could go wrong? I still argue to drop the US tax code into all of them and watch them melt down... or nuke Congress. Just more rot, and why in the he$$ would I ever want CoPilot? Microsoft, physician heal thyself.

Just noting that the specific individual being reported seems to be basically the only one that seems to find these problems. Certainly I remember the article from before that covered that MS legal had him remove his letter. Just reading this article a lot of what he is reporting on seems more like it is 'objectionable' to some people rather than being a "safety" issue. Safety issue to me would be if it provided code to hack a power station. Creating/Posting negative images for social issues which I know people already created doesn't really seem like much of an issue to me.
