    NXP's MCUxpresso IDE works great when it doesn't randomly hang doing routine operations, or you don't need to get back to the start page which I have only figured out how to do by restarting the program. :rolleyes: I hope whoever develops Eclipse gets an appropriate serving of karma. What a horrible piece of software. And all the software that's spun off of it is just as bad. Like MCUxpresso IDE. It has never been stable for me. Either random crashes, hangs, incompatibilities with extensions (the least of its problems), and just being nasty to use in any and all forms. Curse Eclipse.

      Well, Eclipse devs tried a lot. It is 100% saturated fat.

        It's always amazed me how much people kvetch about Visual Studio, and then I read stories like this.

        Software Zen: delete this;

          Visual Studio is way better. It works very well. However, it is heavyweight.
