Perhaps because these aren't required for an understanding of C++ programming?

Of course those terms aren't in the glossary since those aren't the standard terms. There are base and derived classes that described an inherited relationship. One class A can be a member of another class B. A pointer to class A can be a member of another class B. That's basically it -- you're trying to create a new description to describe a relationship that already has a definition: member.

I'm not good with guidelines and I don't stay within the lines when I color. They don't call me Picasso they call me Peculiar.

...and if I did say that .... it would be my fault I would be accused of posting programming question here I would be told not to post instructions i would be encroaching on volunteers time and finally nobody would help me anymore so now "THEY" may blame you and I am truly sorry for my inappropriate non post.

Note From a language perspective class and struct differ only in the default visibility of their members. So create your own "parent variable" and a "child variable" then define a class named "people" If you were looking for programing help try the "General Programing" section of CP
