The [shadow play scene](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nc5LaNcTAfU) from Le Grand Restaurant. Too bad the YouTube thumbnail kinda spoils it, but still rather brilliant. It's in French with English subtitles, but it might as well be pure gibberish - it doesn't matter for the scene.

I love Seann William Scott. Can't think of the most uber favorite scene of all time, but this one came to mind that's so stupid it's hilarious. Also has Seann in it. It's from the Dukes of Hazzard movie and it's just good for the soul. [The Dukes of Hazzard - Japanese Scientists](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbMtPUPVZ\_s) Also warning, it drops the F bomb in it. May not be safe for work.

Not sure if that was meant for me, but I do concur that whole movie is a classic.

I'm seriously biased against the DoH movies. They were entertaining enough (I do love to see a '69 Charger any time one's on screen), but I didn't see how those particular movies had much to do with the show, which had wholesome, old-fashioned family values. When I rewatched it when it first came out on DVD, I thought it was a silly show that didn't take itself too seriously, and still held up. The movies however I thought were rude and crude and they did stuff that would have Roscoe spinning in his grave. I did enjoy Willie Nelson's part however as I'm a fan. But the character had little to do with Uncle Jessie. As for the specific scene you pointed out - I did see the stupid, but not the hilarious. It was all very cliché from start to finish IMO. I understand the idea of making something ridiculously over-the-top ("so bad it's good"), but that's very hard to do and I thought they failed to pull it off. But hey, humor's subjective, if you enjoyed it, I'm not gonna say it's without any merit. I grew up watching the show and the movies just deviated too much from my expectations. Cheers!

That's a hard one as funny does not always transcend time, but here goes Peter Sellers, "The Party", "Pink Panther" series. "The Bobo" (1967) tied with "Young Frankenstein"

AFAIK there's only one recent movie... could be wrong. I grew up watching the Dukes too. And oddly enough, I think Uncle Jessie was the least funny character. I'm a fan of DoH and Seann and Johnny. So, I knew right off the bat it was gonna be stupid but funny. The issue with making films is, nobody wants change. You make a fan-based film and peeps want to see the same exact thing they've always seen. I'm not saying the script of the movie was Oscar worthy. But, the whole point of it was to be a stupid, silly movie and not for the over thinkers. So what if it's cliché. Clichés exist for a reason. There are times to be an intellect and there times to just let loose and laugh and not over think. If it makes you feel better though, I don't find Will Ferrell movies funny. But, I do appreciate what they're trying to accomplish... just to be stupid and silly.

I did think of Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther. Specifically the parallel bars scene. I'm not gonna link to it - you either already know what I'm talking about, or wouldn't think much of it. Does your dog bite?

Never watched the 2007 one. Maybe it does suck for all I know. Guess I'll have to watch it to find out.
