my printer sent me a message "cartridge rans out of paper"

my printer is LexMark (model:MB2236adwe). I just changed its cartridges a month ago. today it sent a message "cartridge out of ink". I have this laser printer for 10+ years. I know the cartridge is brand new, does the imaging unit need to be replaced?

There's always one. When I wrote "all printers", I thought it was fairly safe to assume everyone understood that, in a thread discussing printers displaying "out of ink" messages, we were excluding, y'know, printers that don't actually use ink...

Ummm, are you feel yourself good? "cartridge rans out of paper" sure was not the message, neither "cartridge out of ink" - a laser printer would mention toner. But flipping a page over my fears stemming from a mom with epilepsy mixing words with words almost the same meaning at the start of the seizure maybe your new toner is faulty or counterfeit - contact the seller.

no, I got toner from Dell. now I ordered an imaging unit and it is on the way. we will see.
