We don't celebrate birthdays so it's not a problem - our wedding anniversary is New Years Eve which is hard to forget

My sister got married on her birthday. I remember telling my brother-in-law that was smart of him, but if he ever forgot either, he was never gonna hear the end of it.

My late mother and my wife share a birthday. Same issue. So far I haven't forgotten, and I've had more than 50 opportunities.

Forget them early in the relationship, lowers the expectation. If the wife wants me to react to an event she has to tell me prior to the event, NOT after I am already in the shit!

We arranged my wedding for the day before my birthday. Very hard to forget! What's surprising is that after the date had been arranged, I learned that my new sister-in-law had the same birthday and same wedding anniversary!
