Who else finds the term "Old Fart" offensive/rude ?

I'm an old fart and I know it! :-\
Only an Old Fart calls an Old Fart an Old Fart, Old Fart! :)

I don't. I think the younger generation is over sensitive from spending a lifetime indoors and staying soft and brittle while being coddled. Like really? With all the crap we should be striving to solve in today's world... that should be the least of anyone's concern who's actually a winner IMO. Edit: I should say, it also depends on the tone and the context. A lot of times it's not what you say, it's how you say it.

It seems to me the younger generation doesn't understand the difference of being silly with love and actually being hateful. Robots definitely gonna take us over, man. :^)

And don't get me wrong, men can and should be more emotionally available, empathetic, communicative, and a little sensitive. I know plenty of dudes so closed off, argumentative, and insecure it's annoying. But extremes are bad, in any direction... even being so sensitive that you cry when you run out of milk or something.

The cancel culture doesn't understand "context".

I asked Copilot about the term:
Quote:
The term “old fart” is a colloquial and somewhat humorous expression used to describe an elderly person who is perceived as being out-of-touch or holding old-fashioned views12. While it can be used affectionately among friends or family, it often carries a slightly derogatory connotation1. Is there a specific context in which you encountered this term?
Why only slightly derogatory? Why this term not entirely eschewed? I wasn’t worried about asking about that term (old farts are not a protected species) but there are many others I wouldn’t even ask about.

I upvoted this btw, just to show this day and age it's still possible for people to disagree on stuff and still like each other. And I hear what you're saying btw, so I reckon it's context dependent for some.
