I just got a huge new computer (3" square) and it came with Windows 11 Pro preinstalled. It says it supports running Android apps on it. Question 1: Why would anyone do this? Question 2: Has anyone done this?

    - I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.

A couple years ago I ran an Android emulator on Windows in order to use an android database app on my phone and work on it in the computer. Worked well enough, but outgrew the need for it.

Yes and yes. My security cameras are android/ios only. So I run WSA on my desktop.

Which cameras, if I might ask? Just had to order some, and chose the Rings for seeming convenience. But if there is a better option I've missed...

I got some Wyze. I didn't really pick them out, so much as one came to me free with a recommendation that I get more. I'm not super impressed with them, but they aren't hateful things either. The thing I like least about them is that they don't have a native PC app.

It's a Windows 11 thing. No particular computer. It works just like WSL but it's WSA for Android. [Windows Subsystem for Android™️ | Microsoft Learn](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/android/wsa/)
