Having played every single bioware game so far and even finished some of them and being an xbox owner, Oh and quite liking star wars although not over excited about the whole thing. My only problem is do I wait for a few months for Knights Of the Old Republic to come out on PC and get expansion paks/user mods or do I completely flake and get the xbox version once I see it it in the games shop and hold it in my sweaty paws? pseudonym67

I bought Morrowind on XBox right away and later played the PC version. It was so irritating not having the XBox controller that it didn't matter that the PC version had tons of bug fixes and mods. BTW, I am planning on getting the Morrowind GotY edition (what a sucker I am). For me there is no question. Besides, I sit at my computer to work all day. It's nice to play games on a couch in front of a huge TV.

I admit it. I am a geek. Most particularly, I am a Star Wars geek. To my benefit, I am also an XBox geek. Combine these two facts along with the release of Knights of the Old Republic [^]this week and you have one very excited, distracted, and anxious geek sitting here at my desk. Certainly, I cannot be the only one here at CodeProject biting my nails. I consider myself lucky because I only got into the hype over the pending release about two weeks ago. I suppose others pre-ordered the game last May (talk about project over-runs). It feels like Christmas. :-D:-D:-D Okay, so there are plenty of Star Wars and XBox forums out there to sound off on, but when I want to talk to people I can relate to I come here. (If I could get my posts on other sites to increment my CP post count things might be different. :suss: ) Nah, truely I care about you guys more than them. ;) Did I mention that I am distracted?

You and are alike here, though I think I was waiting for it for 3 weeks instead of 2 :) I put in my pre-order about a week ago, hopefully EBGames will be like they were for Diablo II, with the package arriving the same day as the release date :) Somehow I doubt it though :(( James "I despise the city and much prefer being where a traffic jam means a line-up at McDonald's" Me when telling a friend why I wouldn't want to live with him

Yeah it is doubtful. Everytime their website ebgames.com says the product is now shipping on the ship date, and I go into my local EB their ship date is always one day more. Code4Food ---- "There is no try; only do or do not" -Yoda

I don't have a local store so I can't check them, but my past few experiences have been shakey at best. I did a pre-order on Freelancer, which had major shipping delays. The up-side was that they gave me free shipping and a $10 coupon off my next order. Before that they really messed up my order for Super Smash Bros. Melee. In the end I wound up cancelling my order and driving 180 miles round-trip to pick it up (I was ordering three copies, for myself and 2 friends). If I had to give them a letter grade, they'd get a C for pre-order shipments and an A for anything that hasn't come out within the previous few days. KotR comes out on my dad's birthday (and my sister's follows it two days later) so I don't mind if its late by a day or two, but I still paid for next-day shipping ;P James "I despise the city and much prefer being where a traffic jam means a line-up at McDonald's" Me when telling a friend why I wouldn't want to live with him

I just caught the tail end of it. As soon as I turned it on I heard Leela say, "Looks like you get to keep your lower horn." :-O That is going to be added to my sig rotation in the future. I am buying up the DVD collection. Soon, very soon the will all be mine.
