    5 days ago was the 30th aniversary of the release of Windows 95.

    That was so big back then, people queued round the block to buy it!
    Now of course, people run round in circles to avoid installing the lasted version ...

    And frankly, it was sh*t, but you didn't realise that until you'd spent several hours installing it on the new hard disk you had to buy to fit it on!

      Remember it well. One place gave away memory to allow buyers to install it. Loved it when the last diskette caused the install to crash. Worked trade shows in the those days when Gateway cows grazed.

        I never had a problem with Win95... I had enough raam/hard drive to install it from the git go.

          I remember I was at a VBits conference in FL, and some Microsoft employee gave us a sneak peek before it was released. We were pretty floored by the Start menu! :-)
