@theoldfool The modern, city version of cowboy coffee is a french press. Same concept; fits my lifestyle better.

@code-witch That's not expensive on planet Coffee Machine!

The one I'm upgrading from was about three times that price, and the new one ... well ... Don't look!

I got mine second hand, and it was an absolute steal at US$400!

And WOW! It makes a great cappucino! Mind you, at that price new it should give bl****bs as well.

@jeron1 I prefer the taste of fresh expresso to drip coffee - those machines tend to stew the coffee and that wrecks the delicate flavours.

It's fine if all you want is a caffeine boost, but if you want to savour it, you need fresh brewed.

Yeah, it's expensive - but it works out cheaper than starbucks! At $4.25 for an espresso, I'm ahead in less than 6 months, even with the cost of beans added to the machine price.

@jeron1 That's a bugger - my neighbour lost his during Covid, and it still hasn't come back. That's got to make eating really boring...

@OriginalGriff I tend to eat memories, for instance, I'll eat a burger and say "wow, this is a good burger!", based on things like seasoning (I can detect salt, spicy, sour, sweet..) , juiciness, etc. I cannot experience nuances that require more olfactory sensing. Yes, it can be boring, but I am eating some things I never liked before, with the notable exception of the vile weed, cilantro, NEVER! LOL

@Steve-Echols Oh yes - have you tried the ones in dark chocolate? Caffiene, dopamine, and endorphins in a tiny package!

@OriginalGriff Sorry for late reply, just saw this.

Will have to try them. If you don't see me on here anymore, my heart probably exploded!
