Okay, this seems a bit tenuous, but it's all I could come up with that also fit (somewhat) so here goes...
Relative position = near by, or WARM
Heartless = "without heart" so "not without heart" = "with heart", or as you might say (in speech) HEARTED.
A definition of "not heartless" is WARMHEARTED.It seems a bit overwrought, but there you have it.
I feel I'm a bit rusty on these, which is not to say that I ever could have been mistaken as competent.
