People should have a little bit more understanding for us people that don't have english as our first language. WiB gets voted down just because of that! I quite agree, though it's not limited just to WiB. Many of our fellow CPians are not English speakers, and it can be a strain sometimes to understand the intent of their posts. But it's polite, and proper to make the effort or just move along. There's no reason to make rude comments or vote a post down for such a trivial cause. Hell, I'm impressed that they make the attempt - I sure wouldn't try my limited Spanish on a Spanish board!

Being woman and foreigner is really not so easy here at CP. WiB is the only one that I can remember at the moment. Those English gals are not real foreigners.. jhaga --------------------------------- I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I tend to think of Americanized English as it's own language.

I never vote posts down because of poor English understanding. I understand that many members of CP don't have English as a first language and appreciate that they make an effort to use it. As long as I can understand the post, I vote it up or down as if it were in perfect English, and if I can't understand what they're saying I either ask questions to try to understand or I ignore it.
