    They found five more firfighters alive who had apparently taken refuge in a car. Two were able to walk away, the other three were carried, but they're alive. I wonder how many more times we're going to be able to spread good news like this.

      Being an EMT in a volunteer fire station (www.cvfc.org), this is especially good news for me. You hear about Line of Duty Deaths nearly every week, but to hear that upwards of 300 emergency workers may have lost their lives in a single incident is especially disheartening. Thank God some of them made it. Here's to finding more survivors (Fire/EMS/Police or otherwise). Nick Carruthers

        Sadly, recent reports seem to indicate that the report of the rescue five firefighters trapped in the initial collapse is erroneous. However, two or three firefighters trapped during the rescue efforts today were rescued after being trapped for several hours. Nick Carruthers
