Damned allergies are killing me this year. My eyes are very bloodshot and it is extremely hard to keep from rubbing them because they itch so bad. I've also been sneezing like crazy. Anybody else getting hit hard by allergies this year? Brad Jennings "You're mom is nice. Mind if I go out with her?" - Jörgen Sigvardsson

The UK Pollen count has been very high recently, although its dropping now. I used to get Hayfever very badly at your age, often though it tends to get less as you get older, it has in my case so its not a bother now:) John Hudson Its all right - I'll tell the therapist it was all your fault, maybe they won't turn the voltage up so high on the ECT machine this time:omg: http://www.rainbow-innov.co.uk[^]

Not too bad this year but I do find that I have to change hayfever tablet brand every couple of years as they seem to just stop working. I also find going on holiday near the sea helps... What is that which is causing the allergy ? Dust, pollen? I once had a bad form of allergy on my eyes too. The membrane got thickened and I kept having a feeling that there was a dust particle in my eyes :( The eye doctor finally found out that the allergy was due to my nail polish remover which vapourised and reached my eys when I used it. Luckily I was not put under medication. Washed my eyes several times and got rid of it the very next day. Good luck friend! I hope you get well soon! I started suffering allergies some years ago starting with hay-fever type symptoms progressing through to asthma and acute conjunctivitis. My asthma was becoming rather bad and I went onto high dosages of the preventer as well sa using the reliever when I got any symptoms. I now have very few symptoms and it's all due to the fact that I took someone's advice and went to see a homeopathic doctor from a referral by my General Practitioner (UK family doctor). Just to make sure, I also changed to hard flooring in the house, removing all carpets and I use allergy-free bedding and a mattress cover. I don't really care about how/why it works etc. because it just does and I often go for months without using my inhaler. In fact, when I replace my inhaler now, it's because the date has expired rather than it running out :) Give it a try at least, you've got nothing to lose and it's got to be better than the symptoms or God knows what sort of medication... When I was a kid, I wanted to make fire like how the cavemen did in those days, so tried by rubbing white stones to produce spark and that landed up lot of tiny particles of stones in my eyes. I didnt say a word about this at home and they found it out eventually (its tough to hide when its difficult to spot the eyes, the swelling was so big). I got treated and they removed all those tiny particles that went inside, but I still have a scar at my eyes. Thankfully the stones didnt find their way to the pupil, or else I would've gone blind. Whenever I go to an eye test the dr. would ask me about how this happened :-) Regards, Kannan

Haven't had allergies since I moved away from a home with dogs. Amazing how the doctors never actually picked that up in all the years I suffered from the niffles while at school. :| Cheers, Simon "Don't try to be like Jackie. There is only one Jackie.... I have chronic anaphylaxis and some days this year, all I've had to do is step outside my house, and the pollen sends me into shock:( Fun.

I'm not sure what's causing it, but I assume it's dust or mold. I think it's something in my apartment because I've never had them this bad before. This is the first time I've ever heard of nail polish remover causing an allergy in the eyes. Glad the doctor figured it out.:) Brad Jennings "You're mom is nice.
