Human Eye vs Digital Camera?
-
I was flying from DC to Denver today. At 37,000ft (11200m), as announced by the pilot, I looked out the window and could easily see tiny white specs moving on the highway below, which I assumed to be trucks. So I got to wondering---if the human eye were a digital cemera, what would the equivalent resolution be? 20Mpixels? 40MPixels? My eyes have a much wider field of vision than my puny Canon G2, though I admit the resolution is not as good at the extremities and it certainly isn't linear across the entire eye. The human body is a wonderful thing, although I don't claim to be the perfect specimen. Anyone here seen any research on this? :~ cheers Andrew
