    hi Anybody know what is alogserv.exe that runs on win2000. It takes up all my resources 99% CPU. I have to manualy kill the task whenever i restart. Anyway i can disable this thanx

      Try using Visual Studio to open up the resources and check version info etc. etc.

          it's just good old mcafee trying to be helpful ;-) But Mcafee does consume resources, and chokes up systems with anything less than 128 mb ram and one of the latest breeds of fast processors (if you've got something like a celeron433, you're in big trouble) . Maybe you should try Avg antivirus. It's free(no kiddin') and it's really very light on resources. And it hasn't let a virus pass so far.
