I'm continually surprised at what some of the worlds brightest minds are up to. Out of all the infinite possibilities in the world why do so many of them focus on better ways to move people around a city? I'm not saying segways aren't cool or anything, but if that's what they're going to do, where are the flying jetpacks we were promised so long ago? ------------ Tomorrow is the same day as today was yesterday.

Hehe.. I remember a SciFi story about a civilization that, faced with the looming explosion of their sun in a few hundred years, put the brains oftheir brightest people into a kind of "discussion soup", to solve the problem. Somehow they lost the possibility to communicate with them (doh') and had to ask intergalactic passerby's - turned out the brighties were busy all day discussing the taste of their norishing solution... A wise person invented a perfect solution hundreds of years ago already: the bicycle. I used to live in the city and it's light years faster than driving through rush hour traffic, doesn't require recharging etc etc, you get the point. ------------ Tomorrow is the same day as today was yesterday.

When I get stuck in my local towns 40 minute traffic jam, my mind automatically flips to ways the authorities should be solving it. (I'm not saying I'm bright). Things I often consider are public transport issues, inexpensive roading alternative managemnet methods. And even devices, such as moving roadways for cars and trucks to park on. Or personal transporters like Segway etc. Maybe some peoples minds find transportation to be an enigma requiring mental energy devotion. Admittedly I would love the ability or authority to put a fraction of my ideas into use. I'm sure most of them would just cause other problems though. Regardz Colin J Davies
