Gamecube

Well, I'm going out to finally buy a Gamecube tomorrow. Anybody have suggestions on what games I should buy (or reasons why I should get a different console)? My plans right now are the Gamecube/Metroid Prime combo with SSX Tricky on the side (it was between this and curly fries;P). Any suggestions are appreciated.:) Brad Jennings Northeast US vacation (Aug. 10)[^] - please give me suggestions.:)

I agree with BigAndy, but I haven't played TimeSplitters so I can't comment on that one. Games I have that I loved: Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem is interesting, just because the game messes with your mind. Imagine bugs crawling around on the screen as if they were on your TV screen. If you have friends that loved Smash Brothers for N64 or if they just like fighting games in general Super Smash Brothers Melee is a must (I drove 1.5 hours one way to get my copy :)) While the computer can present some challenge, more fun is had by playing against other people so its not something I would get unless you had someone to play with. If you haven't played Phantasy Star Online for Dreamcast or XBox and you like MMORPGs you will want to give it a try (ie rent it first). If you have the modem adapter it will probably be more fun, but I had a ball with it offline. It helps if you have a friend who plays it as well so you can trade items back and forth (or play co-op, though split-screen sucks). James "My words but a whisper -- your deafness a SHOUT. Probably any game actually developed by nintendo, they do make the best games in the world by far Zelda - The windwaker is an excellent role playing game, the graphics are so original Rouge Squadron - Absolutly beautiful game in terms of playability and graphics. Mario Sunshine - this is a massive game, very fun to play the gamecube is an excellent choice of console, again becauses its made by nintendo.. :o) James Simpson Web Developer imebgo@hotmail.com
