Following on from WiB's thread below - where are you from, and where are you currently living / working? Perhaps this will help with some travel / CPian get-together ideas  I'll start: I'm South African, from the Mpumalanga Lowveld (think Kruger Park, Blyde River Canyon) and am currently living in England on the outskirts of London, while working in Kent.

I was born and raised in Sweden and I still work and live there. The city of Karlstad to be specific. This is Sweden[^]. If you click the map you can read more about it. You can find the location of Karlstad here[^]. Karlstad is located south east of Oslo, and West of Stockholm, north of the big lake (Vänern). You can find official information about Karlstad here[^]. I live here[^]. I work here[^]. -- Berlin rules.

Perhaps someone could whip up a database with a web frontend, where one could enter present location and such alongside with contact information (email, ICQ/UIN, MSN, etc). -- Berlin rules.

Seeing as you asked... I started life in the UK, for a month, then moved to Beirut. (OK, technically my folks moved, but I went too!). Spent my youth in the middle east, then had a culture shock back in the UK in my teens. I'm currently in the W Country (Ross on Wye), but go all over the world on business. Not Portugal though! When I next go to Bangalore, I'll try to get an Indy get-together together... Enough details? ;P Iain.

With a surname like Klien I would never have guessed. :) Is it just me or am I the only one left in this country. Seems like everyone else has move to England or Aussie. :) Oh well..

:jealous look: You have the luck live where I used to make my holidays. I was canooing on the Dalsland/Värmland lakes, and we used to take the train to (or from) Karlstad. Back then (early nienties) we used to sleep right on the banks of the Klarälven (in the park in the city centre, where it forms two arms). It was a great time back then. :(( *shuffeling off - muttering in its beard how the sun is not as bright as it used to be*

I'm living in Lexington, Kentucky, USA, (properly pronounced, "Kaaaintucky"). Wasn't born here, but I'm pretty much "from" here.

I am Swedish speaking living, working and studying in Finland, Helsinki. I live in a house on the country with fields and forests outside my door. Any CPian arriving at the Helsinki airport should contact me and I will arrange with accommodation, recreation and guided tours around south of Finland. jhaga --------------------------------- I have discovered that all human evil comes from this, man's being unable to sit still in a room. During the day, when I'm at home my view is this park[^]. If you do some triangulation and have a good map of São Paulo, you can find my exact home address :)
