I am all for being comfortable and pottering about the house nude is great, but sitting in a chair, desk in front of you, mouse in hand, chatting to Colin Davies with your dangly bits, well, dangling is odd. Had a column called "The Hitching Post". Ad's would appear saying things like "Looking for a woman between 25 - 50 with own tractor and horse. Please send photo of tractor and horse" Seriously though, if you were a girl looking for a guy, you'd be in luck posting here. However, CP only has limited numbers of female members keeping the male population under control :-D

No tv signal there :) The hitching post was our weekly entertainment. We had an NZ guy come and stay on the farm for a bit - an artist (or so he thought). We entered him in it once - as he was fully aquainted with the tokeloshi living in that house we said the woman should be fine with tokeloshi house pets. Oddly, he got a couple of replies. As for ending up in IT - it happened by accident I guess. I'd be a game ranger if there were jobs. Still, I enjoy web dev :)

Lol, no, after a couple of years of working around the Lowveld I decided to go travelling. In 1997 I was introduced to the web, and loved it. Naturally I wanted to know how it all worked so in 1998 I started a 5 week HTML course, followed by a javascript course, followed by many other courses (c++, SQL, etc) I put myself through in the evenings, while working during the day. It was fascinating, and I loved it. Although I hope to leave IT within 2-3 years to take up something more along the lines of wildlife photography, I can't say I've regretted a single thing I've learned :)

jhwurmbach wrote: Sorry, but what is that? I have never heard that word. Well, Europeans see ghosts, Africans see Tokeloshi's. It's a sort of bad spirit, and they have unique personalities which determines whether they just get up to mischief, or go as far as to kill people. This one had a definite presence in the house (keep in mind, I am white, and fully believe they exist as much as ghosts do), although I never saw it. I did however get a chill down my spine near a particular room, and the passage going passed it (before it was ever sited, in fact, many women felt this way, yet as far as I know it was only seen by men. Odd, as until they saw it the men would laugh about it  ). This kiwi was one person who saw it, and described it as a little chap with long pointy ears, and some fur, although not on it's face. A wealthy man from Cape Town once stayed in that house, having been told nothing of Ian and his Tokeloshi. He was down at our place really early the next morning, saying that he'd been kept awake for hours by a creature with pointy ears, wearing a cap he'd had with him, and whacking him over the head with a stick. Apparently it was annoying, but as he was in a trance like state he could not wake up enough to stop the creature from hitting him. There were other reports from various people as well. Ian was slightly afraid of upsetting it, and cleaned out the room for him often. However, he was quite happy to continue living there, so I guess this one never got up to more than mischief.

A little demon that lives under your bed :) Well according to Zulu folklore that is. I think they come carry you away at night while you sleep or something.
