Quick, how many empty soda cans and/or bottles do you have on your desk? What am I still doing up at 4am? Brad Jennings BTW, my count is 6 cans, 1 bottle, and one can I'm working on.

That reminds me of a scientific experiment that a friend of mine found on the internet. Some scientists gave spiders different drugs to see what would happen to the web that the spider spun. The one on LSD's web looked normal except that the web spacing was much narrower so the web had like twice as much material in it. The one on marijuana spun a web that looked normal but the webbing was very thin. Then they had one on caffeine. The web for this one was totally screwed up, there was no pattern to it at all. And it wasn't flat like most webs, it had depth to it too. Definitely cool research, I wish I had the link for it.:) <edit>Well, it looks like I was a little off, but here's a link: http://www.cannabis.net/weblife.html[^].</edit> Brad Jennings I like pancakes!

Don't worry, those were only allegations. The first tests after the allegations say that the drinks are OK. There are more tests to be conducted though, and we are all waiting for the results. BTW, this is only for Pepsi and Coke, and not Indian drinks. ;)

There is this allegation that India-made soft drinks [Pepsi and Coke] contain concentrations of pesticides up to 40 times E U standards. So there are not many coke cans in anyone's tables nowadays :) Smitha You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it true. Thumsup is doing fine AFAIK. It's Pepsi and Coke that are the culprits. ;) Or maybe someone wants to get bribed. X|

Yes, they do now, but originally Thumsup was an Indian brand, made by an Indian company. When Coke and Pepsi entered the Indian market in the 1990's, Coke bought out the biggest (only?) cola. Other brands, like Limca (it's a sort of lemonade) and others that I forget now, were similarly bought out. The good ones, like Thumsup and Limca were allowed to continue while the rest died out. The allegation is not against Coca-Cola the company and PepsiCo the company, but the factories in India where they are made. It's alleged that they don't adhere to the norms.

None. If you had asked this an hour ago the answer would still have been none. But 6 hours ago? That's another question entirely :) (I hope wine glasses half full of cheap Californian Cabernet Sauvignon don't count) :) Rob Manderson http://www.mindprobes.net

None. I have taken to dumping them in the kitchen now, that way they get thrown out for recycling before the mould spreads to nearby objects.

At work? 4 coke cans, 2 pepsi, 1 sprite. At home? hmm...approximately 57 coke cans, 4 snapple bottles, and something I've been using for an ashtray :)
