Uhhh, you might want to change your subject line. I just skimmed through the article and I can't find anything that says the Slammer Virus caused THE blackout (or any blackout) did I miss something?. It talks about a security breach at an offline plant in January and then goes on to say that there have been no reports as of yet that the virus caused the most recent blackout. This is a common news technique which I hate - blend two current hot topics to create an enticing (although meaningless) article. Example: A three year old toddler skinned his knee on the pavement late yesterday afternoon. A terrorist plot has been ruled out although there have been reports of at least one man with a skinned knee who may have had terrorist connections. Drew.
