How many CPians out there are addicted to coffee? I don't mean "Well, I do drink a lot", I mean "I drink the equivalent of twelve normal people, and you had better not cross me before my first cup". Myself, for example: (and this really isn't an exaggeration) I wake up and have the remainder of the coffee I was drinking the night before, if I haven't used it as an ashtray. Then I get ready for work, and run to the 7-11 right down the street and grab a large coffee, unless my buddy is working the counter, in which case I grab the 48-oz Uber-large soda size and fill that up with coffee. I get into the office (usually one of the first ones in), and start the pot brewing. Over the next eight hours, I will drink roughly (depending on how the day goes) 24 10-oz. cups of coffee. Then I go home. I take a break from coffee and start drinking Coca-Colas. I'll probably go through a six-pack a night. And I wonder why I can't sleep at night.... Jeremy Kimball Oh, forgot to add that two of my more common evening/night-based activities involve large amounts of coffee (Camping at Barnes and Nobles or Borders, and hanging out with friends at all-night diners)

I used to drink about 15 or 20 10-oz cups of coffee daily and 5 or 6 bottles of Pepsi, but I switched to decaf a few years ago. Now I drink decaf only on weekends, no Pepsi, and a lot more milk and water. I sleep much better now.

I've become oversensitive to caffeine. I used to drink buckets of it, but now I get way too worked up. Two cups and I can't sleep. Three and people will start to suspect I'm putting something stronger in the coffee. -- Im hayu samim et hamo'ach shelcha betoch tsipor, hi hayta matchila la'uf achora!

Well I'm not "addicted" per se but I am a coffee nut. I drink three cups each day - all in the afternoon when I get off. I use Blue Mountain beans and a coffee press and the taste is just amazing. Can't drink regular stuff at all - to acid for my taste. I sometimes add a big shot of Baileys to my last cup of the evening. Gives one something to look forward to. Rest of the day I drink water.
