http://www.skyscrapers.com/public/wtcterror/interview.cfm?lang=e Last week the international conference on skyscrapers, "Trends in Tall Building," took place in Frankfurt. Among the speakers was Leslie Robertson, who participated in the construction of the World Trade Center as an engineer. When asked by a member of his audience whether the buildings would withstand a bombing, Mr. Robertson replied that the twin towers could not be brought down by a terrorist attack Condolences to all Regardz Colin J Davies

Actually, the White Star Line never claimed the Titanic was unsinkable, only the media of the day. The White Star line claimed that the Titanic was "practically unsinkable". The media left off the qualifying adjective. "Live free or die"

I guess he referred to "normal" terrorist attacks, some bombs and things like that... who would expect a 757 to crash into the building? Even after seeing the crash, I didn't think the towers would come all the way down like they did... I still feel very bad about it :(( -- LuisR -------- Luis Alonso Ramos Chihuahua, Mexico www.luisalonsoramos.com
