It's been a long time since my last post, but here goes. I bought an iPod a month or so ago (ordered some new earphones recently also -- some in-ear jobs to block out as much of the commuting background noise as possible), and am currently listening to Damien Rice's album, "O". I'd also thoroughly recommend Gilles Peterson's new compilation - Worldwide 3 - a collection of some really great tracks. -- Paul "Put the key of despair into the lock of apathy. Turn the knob of mediocrity slowly and open the gates of despondency - welcome to a day in the average office." - David Brent, from "The Office" MS Messenger: paul@oobaloo.co.uk Download my PGP public key

The Dandy Warhols - The Monkey House Their new album - it's... different. Has a real synthy "'80s alt group" sound to it, but somehow i don't hate it. Lots of bass, a good car CD. Queens of the Stone Age - Queens of the Stone Age Found this in a second-hand bin, picked it up on a whim. Not bad... The Essential Leonard Cohen Sort of a best-of. Relaxing.

            Shog9

              >The Dandy Warhols - The Monkey House It's different alright! Mind you, it was produced by Nick Rhodes (from Duran Duran) so no wonder it sounds like 80s synth-pop ;). Totally different to their last CD, and I admire them for taking a different direction. Mind you, some of the songs are VERY influenced by Bowie and even those 80s popsters ABC. A friend of mine who LOVED "13 Tales..." HATES this new one with a passion that has to be seen to be appreciated. he he. I think it's OK but I don't think ti will stand the test of time... As for QOTSA - THEY ROCK!!!!!

Both Play and 18, WMP has shuffled them all up so as to create a good mix :-) Although I much prefer Ocean Colour Scene's 'Best of' album. Really good to code too actually.

Play. Great album but, like the last Coldplay one, I have had it rammed down my throat so much I am now numb to it. Moby licensed every single track on Play for commercial use (more power to him, etc.) and there was a period where it was being played EVERYWHERE - I just got sick of it in the end!

It is a well known fact that if you mispell band names on public discussion forums it will put the RIAA off your trail... ;P Actually I am just a really bad speller.
