took 1000mg. about an hour ago, didn't work. A buddy of mine is from Jamaica, just put some of his parents home-made rum (120 proof) on the tooth. and a small shot is sitting here waiting till I gain the courage

Also, try allspice (yes, you read that right!). It works well. :) Apply it on the gum around the tooth.
