Big deal. For one thing, basketball (like most ball sports) are pointless. For another thing, after ten games into the season, he's gonna decide he's too damn old to play with the kids (he's already decided this twice before). He should just retire gracefully and teach kids the "art" (and I use the term loosely) of the game.

I agree, he should have stayed retired, but he didn't, so I'm going to enjoy it while he's back. Everyone knows he can't possibly duplicate his earlier successes, but he will exciting to watch nonetheless. Jon Sagara Sagara Software

For one thing, basketball (like most ball sports) are pointless. I for one don't enjoy basketball, but I would like to know what sports are not pointless? They are all just a bunch of people playing against another bunch of people trying to do better than the other team and win. That said, I have participated in organised and non-organised sport since I was 5 so I am biased towards sport, everyone should play some. The thing that gets me about basketball is that it seems like the outcome is usually decided in the final seconds of the game. So I find it, like you say, pointless that they run around for an hour when a minute or two would produce the same results. :) Regards, Alvaro
