Quote Of The Day

I just read this an it kinda struck a chord so I thought I'd share "Oil. The Arabs have the oil, and the Soviets and the Americans want it and will play any dirty game to get it. No one cares for Isreal, Except the Arabs who wish to see her destroyed, and the world powers who also wish they could find a way to destroy her quietly, the thorn in their sides. Oil. War will come, something will happen ..." pseudonym67 wrote: Harry Harrison I remember reading Stainless Steel Rat Is Born, or one of that series. Pretty entertaining read. About the quote, shows you how little things change, doesn't it. I need to dig up another one, about America's global reach and American culture. It's over a 100 years old. Damn what did it say...... :perplexed;

reduce selfishness, have few desires."

So far, several people have got this to work. The problem has been the cost so I hope they have managed to sort that out. Elaine :rose: The tigress is here :-D

This is cool. They say it won't handle nuclear waste... but if it can generate sources of energy, we may not need to use nuclear energy. I want one in my front yard, so I can do something with all of the trash and cigarettes drivers throw in my yard. X| :cool: If your nose runs and your feet smell, then you're built upside down.

...has invested far too much money and intellectual, social and political capital in the obtaining, refining, marketing and distribution of oil to give it up easily. They will fight any new technology until the last drop of oil is sucked from the ground. They have the money, the new technologies do not. Do we think start ups like Changing World can take on the likes of BP, Shell and Texol who have so much sway that they can start wars and destroy whole countries? One day, yes, but only through absolute need will we change and then only in the last dying fumes of the last dying oil well. :) Cheerful huh?
