Translating software
-
Hi All. Check this one out. http://www.eurocitysoftware.com/mainpage/h2v2_products.htm#stprof[^] According to the company their software translates programs from/to a variety of languages. Wonder if they locate the string-table in the exe-file and then translates the entries they find. How about placeholders for strings on dialogs that become to small when translated into another language. Still looks impressive to me. HarryS - Norway

I'm not sure - but if strings go into the relocation table, you have no problem - They don't offer much Bandwidth, though. DL with 10k/sec isn't what I got DSL for  At least they use Wise for installation. [edit]Ahh... they use a dictionary of common phrases, and translate "on the fly". Interesting concept (biut not worth a patent, IMO - but that's just me). However, they miss that my system menu is already in German...[/edit]
