Get a head start - use Boost!!![^] All of the extensions mentioned there (except N1422 and N1456) are currently in the Boost library - boost::bind (N1455, IIRC) rocks especially. And I believe that the other two library extensions (polymorphic function wrappers & tuples, IIRC) are also in Boost. This is poor reporting at it's finest. I cannot figure out if they are thinking of adding "features" to the language spec (bad) or to a standard library (good). As pointed out, use Boost. And also use STL Port instead of Microsoft's offering.

My opinion is that if it ain't broke don't fix it. I am in the "stay the same category". If anything I think they should pare it down. Does anyone use friend operator? It seems like it violates the OOP philosophy.
