...seem to like Niagra Falls? Can someone explain this little oddity to me - maybe it was the season (this weekend), everyone took a weekend holiday, not sure.

I guess the reason is Indians recommend other Indians to go to Niagara falls and the people who have been there recommend to others and son on and on it goes.

Is the WWF/WWE's ride still in operation there? I remember they made a big deal about it opening, then it got shut down on the first day due to safety problems. --Mike-- Ericahist | Homepage | RightClick-Encrypt | 1ClickPicGrabber CP SearchBar v2.0.2 released

Yes, right next to the Ripley's place, which had a animitron of a guy climbing up and down the wire, and yes, there were a bunch of kids pointing and trying to get his attention.

Weeeelll, to save the border crossing hassle (although I must say that she was the CUTEST police-officer type lady I ever have had the pleasure of talking with), you can get the same effect by turning on the cold water in the shower, point the nozzle at the wall, and stand in the spray. Oh, and turn on the white noise generator up to full volume, too.

LOL. The last time I went to see Niagara Falls (note spelling, with an extra 'a', not like Viagra), it seemed as though I was in Asia, not Canada. It probably has more to do with the quirks of tourism. Marc Latest AAL Article My blog Join my forum!

There were some, but not many - and mostly asian-americans. Or else they are teaching PERFECT slurred 'merican twang these days...

I'm a Indian and I myself don't know that why Indians like that place so much. I know so many Indian who have visited this Niagra falls more than 10 times. I myself visited this place only once. I think Indians like this place because this is one of the most beautiful place on earth. But anyway it is good for City of Niagra Falls. Right ?

A bit OT but what is Niagra falls like? Your other posts seem to indicate a bad shower head would be more entertaining. Personally I have been to Victoria falls (largest/longest/somethingst waterfall in the world) and I adore the place. I love getting wet everytime I go, staring into the gorge and being blown away by the sheer, majestic size of it. You can see the clouds of mist for many hundreds of kilometers away. Is your dislike mainly because Niagra falls has become so comercialised? As for Indians... They turn the Taj Mahal into a nut box with the miniarets as tooth-pick holders. Wonderful people but they can be decidedly odd. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Miszou wrote: I have read the entire internet. on how boring his day was. Crikey! ain't life grand?

Paul Watson wrote: Is your dislike mainly because Niagra falls has become so comercialised? Oh no, not that reason at all - I was just "is that all?". I actually got a LOT more out of the History Channel's stuff on Niagara and Tesla et all than actually visiting there. To me, it was just loud water, and didn't seem all that impressive/interesting/visually attractive. I actually thought the drive TO the place was more interesting (I didn't know there were a LOT of vineyards in Pennsylvania and upper New York - must visit, taste test for myself). Fortunately both sides of the Falls kept the commercialization OFF the landmark itself for the most part. I dunno, just... eh, big whoop, now why do all of THIS specific group think it's wunnerful? It's like going into McDonalds and everyone working there is Mexican.

Niagara Falls != Victoria Falls.... Vic Falls is just so much better. It seemed to me that Niagara Falls was just so tiny compared to Vic Falls.
