Since I like to laugh at myself and love rubbing my southerly neighbours noses in it, How to tell the difference between an American and Canadian[^] Chris Meech If you spin a Chinese person around, do they become dis-oriented? Why do people in this time period worry so much about time traveler's destroying their worldline when they have no problem doing it themselves every day? John Titor.

It's ok, we all can't be perfect. Also, last night on Conan, it was "Act like Canada Matters Day."

You don't care about the fuss with Cuba. It's a cheap place to go for your holidays, with good cigars and no Americans. :-D:-D

I recognize some of those things - "pop", a dad who is a hockey fanatic, "highway", halloween costume/snowsuit! Maybe I'm Canadian. (Actually, I grew up in Michigan.) ------------------------------------------ The ousted but stubbornly non-dead leader reportedly released an audiotape this weekend, ending by calling on Iraqis to, quote, "resist the occupation in any way you can, from writing on walls, to boycotting, to demonstrating and taking up arms." adding, "you know, pretty much anything I used to kill you for." - The Daily Show

I've lived in B.C., Alberta, Quebec, Ontario and I have yet to hear anyone say "aboot" other than an American comedian trying to make fun of Canadians.

I play this game when travelling to the US, trying to see how long I can 'fake' an American accent (essentially just not emitting any Canadianisms). It's amazing how fast an 'aboot' or 'pr-ah-ject' submarines you, or the ever so hard to resist 'eh'. I don't hear the 'aboot' with my ears, but oh boy they do. David
