I thought that would raise a chuckle. :) I wouldn't worry too much about the daggers - I never throw them, and only occasionally sneak up behind people and hold cold steel to their throat. ;) Anna :rose: Homepage | Tears and Laughter "Be yourself - not what others think you should be" - Marcia Graesch "Anna's just a sexy-looking lesbian tart" - A friend, trying to wind me up. Ian Darling wrote: I'll own you all with a pistol Oooohhh...I dunno about that. I rock with a pistol. I'm pretty much a jack of all trades...the only weapon I really hate is that stupid needler. It's just not very practical for close(or long) range combat and the delayed reaction between the needles' impact on the target and the explosion is just too long for comfort in slayer. But my best weapons are probably pistol, shotgun, and rocket launcher. I can do just about anything close range with the rocket launcher. Favorite part though, is shooting someone who's charging at me in a warthog or ghost. Gets 'em every time, especially if you have a small weapon out and then switch to the rocket. That elicits the "Oh Sh!t!" reaction that I thrive on. :-D
Hawaian shirts and shorts work too in Summer. People assume you're either a complete nut (in which case not a worthy target) or so damn good you don't need to worry about camouflage... -Anna-Jayne Metcalfe on Paintballing

Ian Darling wrote: use a plasma weapon (probably the plasma rifle) to slow people down No no no...you use something like the plasma pistol, charge it up and take out their shields, then switch to a human close range weapon (assault rifle, shotgun, pistol) and take them out the rest of the way. And the whole plasma grenade tactic is overused and can really backfire on you...especially if the person's smart enough to run at you.

That does work better, but it's fairly risky, because you don't get many shots with the plasma pistol, and it's not particularly fast to charge or shoot. The plasma rifle is faster and therefore less risky, but is less effective, yes - it's a (well thought out) trade off. And I would never start charging it in a firefight. :) Actually what's really cool is to sneak up on someone who's sniping, and shoot them with that. Getting zoomed out while sniping is very disorienting. Although even cooler is sneaking up and melee-ing them in the back of the head. Ian Darling wrote: The plasma rifle is faster and therefore less risky, but is less effective, yes - it's a (well thought out) trade off. Yeah, I'll agree that it's a nice weapon. And the paralysis effect it has is a killer. I only take it when I'm in the mood though, or if I'm going after a guy with my team's flag. Otherwise I just stick to human weapons pretty much.

I just barely make it on time when I'm playing cooperative...I can't imagine how many tries it's gonna take for me to beat it solo. The inheritance isn't the problem. There is an issue with MC++ and ASP.NET that can in certain circumstances lead to problems. So you can do it, but it's not encouraged. cheers, Chris Maunder
